Vonbee Passion Fruit Honey Puree

I noticed some people gathering around and checking out this Vonbee Passion Fruit Honey Puree during a recent trip to Costco. A product of Korea, its label states that it can be a “beverage base, salad dressing, & more.” Since I love sweet passion fruit and honey, I thought I’d give it a try.

Ways to Use It

Suggestions from the back of the bottle.

First, I followed the directions on the bottle and added 3 teaspoons of Vonbee Passion Fruit and Honey Puree to a cup of hot water. I mixed it to make tea. It was really good and I highly recommend it, if you like fruit flavor in your tea. It’s nice because you can adjust the flavor to your liking by adding more puree or water.

Second, I put some on Kirkland Greek Yogurt and added strawberries (both of which I also bought from Costco). That was delicious, too.

I also look forward to trying it on toast and as a salad dressing, as suggested on the label.

Ideas and Notes

I like that this product is easy to use, as you are basically pouring it out and spreading or mixing it. The ingredients are pretty straight forward, and don’t include anything you can’t pronounce. However, it does need to be refrigerated after opening.

My only note would be, if you have a problem with the seeds from the passion fruit, then you might want to skip this product, as they are whole in the puree (see the first picture of this post). I don’t mind the little crunch. For me, it was a bit like having chia seeds in my food.
